Twirling,
   winding,
       drifting,
           feeling.
Shadow,
   growing,
      dark,
        alone.

Darkness must follow light.
Light must end darkness.

I know there is pain in growing,
   but must I grow so much?

A forest must feel flame.
Trees fall, so others can grow.

Wisdom is not an easy card to turn up.

I just hope the deck is not stacked,
   for my chips are all I have,
      the green felt is no longer pretty.
